Even though this site is still under construction, I wanted to let you know I'll be directing and shooting a commercial tomorrow. My good friend and partner in crime Mitchell Mayes and I came up with the concept. I'd love to tell you what it's for, but that would give away the punch line. We'll be shooting with the Red at 4k. Since this shoot involves a child, we decided to break it up over two evenings to give us time to get what we want. Young children can be tough to work with, hopefully everything will go well. I definitely have no problem resorting to bribery with a trip to Toys-R-Us to get what we need. 

 I purchased a Flip MinoHD Camcorder  to get some behind the scenes footage. Playing with the Flip over the weekend, I'm pretty happy with the camera. It's nice and small, and does 720p. The compression really kicks in under low light, but I think for some quick behind the scenes footage to post on here it should do the job quite well. I'll post it as soon as I can, and that goes for the final commercial as well.
